Polar Knowledge Canada to Visit Laurier

Join us on Monday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. as Polar Knowledge Canada visits Laurier to discuss their funding programs and provide insights into current funding oppurtunities. This is an in-person event and will be held at the CRRC Ice House (165 Albert Street, Waterloo, ON) and is open to all undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty from Laurier and the University of Waterloo. If you’re not located in Waterloo and would like to attend virtually, please email coldregions_info@wlu.ca to request access.

CRRC Welcome Social

The CRRC invites you to our welcome social event on Sept. 26. Come join us to connect with familiar faces, meet new CRRC members, and help us give a warm welcome to incoming CRRC students. Also, four student guest speakers will share their graduate research experience.

Aquatic Field Sampling Workshop

The CRRC is excited to host its first Aquatic Field Sampling Workshop. The workshop will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Waterloo Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST. If you would like to attend and have not already registered, please fill out the form to RSVP.

Free parking will be available at Waterloo Parking Lot E or F. The workshop location is a few minutes walk from the meeting location. A few things to note for the session:

• Please bring waders or rubber boots if you indicate you have some; otherwise, waders or rubber boots will be provided.
• Dress appropriately.
• Bring a notebook and a pen.
• Lunch will be provided.
